When it comes to planning a wedding or social event some aspects can be stressful, expensive or just a pain. It can be overwhelming when you consider colors, themes, decor, invitations and more! Paper goods can definitely fall into those stressful categories if you let them. Don’t worry – there are always ways around that and one of the easiest options for taking the stress out of invitations is to go digital! Paperless or online invitations are gaining speed on the invitation scene. This price is often a friendlier option and will give you the creative invites you always wanted. As an added bonus they can provide your guests with a fun interactive invitation to your main event, whether it be: bridal and engagement showers, bachelorette parties, weddings, anniversaries and more.
Though a paperless invitation may not fit your traditional and very formal wedding, they can be great for some of the smaller events that lead up to and surround your big day. We are constantly inspired by the beautiful designs that are out there in the digital invitation world and figured we’d “plan” the perfect summer soiree around one of these gems. Of course, here at Southern Charm, would you expect anything other than a chic, rustic vintage style?
One invitation option we love is Paperless Post. Paperless post offers a wide-scale of beautifully designed creations from stationary to invitations for just about any and all occasions. With summer in mind we were immediately drawn to this simple floral beauty. Our creativity wheels started spinning and we’re dreaming of the perfect outdoor garden engagement party!
The soft palette and slightly watercolor effect exuded romance to us. We pictured a fresh green garden with vintage wooden farmhouse tables and oversized market umbrellas providing shade in the bright sun. Placed on the tables we would mix a collection of vintage glassware using mason jars, milk glass and crystal filled with fresh blooms in a soft palette of pink and yellow with lots of foliage and greens.
To make your guests welcome and comfortable we would pair our vintage lounge furniture with our fun yard games, featuring corn hole and Jenga and a barrel bar featuring a specialty cocktail and refreshing beverages. Of course an engagement party is all about the Mr. and Mrs.-to-be so we would highlight the event with a menu of the bride and groom’s favorite BBQ bites and a display of vintage crates stacked with pictures of the couple. Rounding out that party atmosphere we would create a dramatic entry way that doubles as a DIY photo booth backdrop with lots of colorful ribbons and vintage tea cups suspended at varying heights. Last but not least, this vintage garden decor inspired some fashion choices for the bride as well. We loved this soft ivory and pale pink dress from Mod Cloth and think it would be the perfect little garden party dress.
Needless to pay, Paperless Post really paved the way for this day dream! It is so easy to be inspired by their beautiful Invitations and can be a great jumping off point for your own event. They offer designs by, though not limited to, J.Crew, Johnathan Adler, kate spade new york, Oscar de la Renta, and Vera Wang. They even offer a few free design options as well, which would only set you back the cost of “postage” given in the form of purchasable coins. Some designs feature photo customization while others provide a more simpler, yet elegant theme.
The sky’s the limit with Paperless Post!
