You know the saying, “it’s all about the bride.” So why are brides so concerned with what guests think of their big day? From decorations and music to food and entertainment, brides continuously wonder what guests will think.
Impress guests with flavor during your reception. Food trucks are both fun for guests and easy on brides planning for their big day. Instead of working with a caterer to create the perfect menu, brides and grooms can pick a food truck with a menu they love. Food stations also offer another fun food-related option. Guests will appreciate the creativity behind a shrimp and grits bar or a s’mores station. The possibilities are endless.
Guests looking to have fun away from the dance floor and yummy food will enjoy games. Lawn games, like cornhole or giant Jenga, are perfect for guests that enjoy being active and like being outdoors. The shoe game, involving the bride and groom raising shoes to answer questions like, “Who is the better driver?,” is fun for all guests. It’s sure to get some laughs from the crowd.
Music can also enhance guest experience. The bride and groom can create a playlist including their favorite songs, and songs with special meanings or memories. Guests will enjoy a musical insight into the couple’s relationship. Brides can also give guests the option of requesting a favorite song on the RSVP. This makes creating a wedding day playlist easier on the bride. Don’t like a song that a guest requests? Give it a big X. They’ll never know!
Our personal favorite is a photo booth. Guests can use props and a background, like rustic wood doors, to create fun pictures to last a lifetime. These pictures can either be used as a guest book in a photo album, or given to guests as favors. Be sure to use an old fashioned Polaroid camera!
While guests should be considered during wedding day planning, a bride should remember to consider how plans make her feel. Since it really is all about the bride, we recommend planning a special day that incorporates all of the bride’s wishes and dreams!
